Thornes have started selling 'swing frame extractors' which are supposed to be the 'bees knees' (..sorry..)

Are they really worth the extra cost to get possibly the last few drops of honey out - when the bees will do that anyway if the frames are returned to the hive? And for frame breakages - a rough guess is that my own breakage rate averages out at something like 0.3% per year which is not a problem.

Someone at our club meet on Monday was talking about getting a swing frame extractor as he doesn't think the radial gets enough out. I wonder if it's this one he was looking at!
