We've two different types of lavender, the first was flowering 2-3 weeks ago, the second started flowering last week. The bees are all over it.

Might have to get some more for next year.

I've noticed this - but only with one of the three colonies in my garden apiary.

Rosebay still out, it can be odd what you sometimes wee flower this year in hedge rows, I've also seen some thistle and red poppy flowering.

I've not found any ivy flowering yet.

Rosebay is well finished here. There is a flush of Dandelion, yellow thistle, small amounts of HB and in town Old mans beard. At my out apiaries this year there was a distinctive lack of white clover. I think the worst August ever caused that. May and July were very productive though this year and I have never ever before had honey in July. Usually the June gap lasts from mid June until the end of April here.
Best year ever overall though, so no complaints from me.

Cheers, Mick.
