I definitely got hawthorn last year. There is a long hedge of it close by which we walk by daily with the dogs and I could see the bees working it. Not only that the hive reaked of hawthorn blossom in the evening. I never saw the honey as the bees ate it in the June gap :(

Driving round yesterday and the gorse is still flowering. OSR is still flowering but it looks like it's finally starting to finish in many fields.

OSR a mile away still in flower, plus sycamore, hawthorn and now raspeberries, loads of grey white pollen. Its warm the sun is shining and I have started removing surplus honey. :D

Judging by the red pollen coming the girls have now found the Chestnut....
I've done some extracting this week and found some darker honey, I believe this will be horse Chestnut , unless others have some insight

Hence the old saying ..".When gorse is out of bloom, kissing is out of season"
Everything is going over here or past it's best.... 1st Of June on Saturday....really looking like a proper June gap.
