I have two mature huge Ceanothus shrubs in the garden that are nearly in full bloom and covered in bumbles ..no hives or Nucs here at the moment as it is too close to a footpath for this time of the year..

OSR looks like it's coming to an end. I'm surprised it's lasted so long but speaking to one of my Farmers he stated one of his fields is going through a second flowering due to being water logged earlier on in the year.

OSR maybe has a week or so left here.

Forgive me if I get these wrong - I was using the Google Lens app to identify these:
Elder is coming into flower
Blackberry has started
Horse chestnut is in flower
Plenty of normal-sized and giant daisies
Plenty of clover

So it seems the bees have plenty to still go at in my area.

Elder is flowering.
Early blackberry is too - there seems to be two types; the early type and then what I describe as 'main crop' blackberry which follows.
Horse Chestnut is finished now.
Lime is not out yet (I opened a sticky gate yesterday which alerted me to a lime tree above).

Bees seem to be getting nectar in the afternoons rather than the morning.

It looks like the bees have found the Phacelia.. blue/purple pollen coming in and the Rose Bay Willow Herb is nowhere near ready to flower yet..

Bramble out in swathes in sheltered areas and the bees are on it already.
Same here and thistle too. It's looking like a good year

Plenty of ragwort out,but it has been for weeks

Up in north Yorkshire on Sunday and saw the odd spot of Heather in flower

On the snake pass to Manchester last night and saw quite a bit of Heather in flower, it was on the road side growing a rock face going up maybe 30-40 feet and along the road for several hundred feet.
