If you are interested in skep beekeeping, are you aware of the You Tube series on "skep beekeeping in the heathlands" videos that record the life of German skep beekeepers in the late 1970's. It is a fascinating series and includes by far the best recording of queens tooting I have heard but it's quite a way through the video.
As for nadiring, I cannot help feeling it is one of those expressions that modern beekeepers use as doctors do, to stop outsiders understand what the heck they are talking about! I am going to stick with under-super even if it is a contradiction in terms, but at least we all know what a super is.
