Hi - I'm not a beekeeper and not sure if this is the right place to ask this - but I'm wondering if anyone knows of UK producers of beeswax crayons ?

I was not aware that beeswax can be used in crayons until I searched for it after reading your post. I cannot recall seeing it mentioned on a beekeeping forum.
As kids chew pencils and crayons; a beeswax version with a safe colourant would make sense and be harmless. I hope someone doesn't get the taste for them!
If anyone knows of a UK supplier I am sure they will post. (Or make some. Now there's a challenge!)

Just type Beeswax crayons into search box on ebay or amazon. Quite expensive.

Thanks - yep - they are quite expensive - and so far I've only found them imported from the US - so I was hoping there might be a UK supplier - I may try making some myself - any ideas on UK wax suppliers??

I suspect you will not find any UK supplier of UK produced bees wax in any large amounts. I suggest contacting a local beekeeper or association.

Might be worth giving the pencil museum in Keswick a ring. They are likely to know of any UK manufacturers.

If you watched 'Inside the Factory' the other day when there were making pencils in Germany, they had a small piece on wax crayons and looked at a UK manufacturer of them. Maybe they would be interested in making beeswax ones?
