bees do maths!

I can see it in the hive as I type. A little bee in my hive with a 12mm ruler checking my bee space between frame and the brood box telling her mates, this geezer has messed up, bee space is out by 3mm. OK Girls, get you wax glands going and goo it up for him. We'll show this amateur the error of his ways.

Any how, the below research suggects thats bees can do arithmetic. I am just making a big leap of faith they have rulers as well.

Don't they just. When I saw this I asked the owner if I could take a photo. :)

They are so good at that. The plus is that they are expanding and bringing in stores. The downside is the MESS.
